About The Author
Elizabeth Carrature
Elizabeth Carrature is a retired educator and librarian who dedicated her career to working with schools, colleges, and libraries. She designed programs that helped children and faculty discover the power of learning, creativity, and community. Throughout her career, she led initiatives to expand internet access in rural New York libraries, supported faculty in STEM education, and encouraged students from diverse backgrounds to achieve success.
Even during her years in education, Elizabeth loved writing, composing little songs, and creating poems for children. After retirement, she embraced that passion more fully, focusing on storytelling that celebrates friendship, family bonds, and the joy of discovery. Her background in children’s literature continues to inspire her to write heartwarming stories like Bella and Blue: A Christmas Romance, which capture the magic of childhood and the warmth of togetherness.
